Creative Danube: “Places to See, Places to be!”

Project description:

The project was carried out in cooperation with the Stuttgart Media University Hochschule der Medien, the multidisciplinary and multicultural Mikser House platform from Belgrade and the Department of Culture at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, and is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung GmbH Stuttgart (total value of 50,000.00 euros). Twenty-two students from Stuttgart (Hochschule der Medien from Stuttgart) and Osijek (Department of Cultural Studies) participated in the project. The aim of the project was to identify and present the creative sites of selected cities in the Danube region: Osijek, Ulm, Regensburg, Vienna, Linz, Maribor, Bratislava, Budapest, Belgrade, Zagreb, Novi Sad, Pécs and Timisoara. As a result of this collaboration, a multimedia travel guide to the Danube region in print and digital form and a mobile application were published. The project was officially concluded on February 26-27, 2016, it hosted a meeting of participants from Germany, Croatia and Serbia at the Belgrade-based Mikser House Cultural Institution, called Creative Danube Meetup, which featured lectures and a creative workshop.
