Project description
In 2016, the Academy realized the first festival, “Dani Julija Knifer”, which has since been established as an annual manifestation of the Academy, held in the days around the artist’s birth, in order to sensitize the people of Osijek to Knifer’s name and his meanders. The aim of this event is to establish an interdisciplinary dialogue between artists and scientists in the fields of fine arts, art sciences, applied and performing arts practices. In addition, program promoters aim to, through the realization of polyvalent cultural content, re-actualize the values of the Croatian national artistic heritage, create a platform for the presentation of young artists and scientists, and sensitize the general public for two-way communication and a better understanding of the visual arts.
