Harmony in Education

This programme includes the contents of the course “Harmony” during the three years of study at music secondary schools, the ways this knowledge is transferred and the student of this programme will improve their experience by the latest approach to “Harmony”. This refers to dynamics, a series of knowledge and skills that students have to acquire in terms of written harmony and harmony on the piano.

According to experience, students who are following this approach show a better understanding of compositions for their own instruments and remarkable knowledge and high examination scores when enrolling at music and art academies. This programme would train a significant number of teachers who would be qualified to work in the same way with their students.

The results of this approach, first of all, develop music spontaneity and creativity as well as a creative conscious process involving the homophonic musical structure. This way, students get to know tonality as a living music organism which they study in several ways until the end of their secondary school education: by sound experience, theoretical knowledge, their own creativity and a constant presence of music literature.
