Upon completion of the programme students will be able to express the basic relations of frame, format and proportions within compositions. Following the principles of composition, they will be able to apply contrasts and changes in rhythm and different types of lines and surfaces. They will improve their perception by observing and noticing.
Students will learn to draw from observation, from a model. Also, they will know how to use the basic drawing techniques of pencil, charcoal and ink. They will be able to recognise, identify and apply different characteristics of a given drawing medium for the creation of a composition. Students will learn measuring methods and how to use an easel.
Upon completion of the programme students will learn to create a portfolio of their works which will be presented at a one-day exhibition at the premises of the Academy that will be open for the public. This will provide every student with an opportunity to evaluate their composition drawing skills and an insight into their personal artistic expression.
