Upon completion of the programme students will acquire the knowledge and skills of the relative and absolute aspects of listening, which is a great asset to any professional and music lover. Absolute pitch (the ability to identify pitch without the prior “use” of intonation), even when we are only partially conscious of it, together with relative pitch enables a quick and accurate insight into a musical text without references and therefore a better communication with music. Sound impression leads to visual association and a view of sheet music an auditory show, training the pitch of musicians in both ways and improving the reaction speed which, in the end, enables a conscious continuous monitoring of musical content in the “real time” speed. In that sense, the understanding of a written composition is the prerequisite for musical thought, enabling memory, analytical listening and theoretical understanding. This brings the work of professional and amateur musicians on the higher level.

Their skills include a wider area of the music language which enables a conscious perception of almost every music genre.

When considering music and musical phenomena, there is nothing more natural than the combination of “relative and absolute pitch” which are, using the Rea method procedures, brought to the conscious level and are automatized like the mother tongue, once learnt it is developed.
