/ Lifelong Learning

The Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek is one of the eighteen scientific/artistic-teaching units of the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek which has considerable experience in providing higher education by organising university undergraduate, graduate and specialist study programmes that focus on the arts and sciences. Besides these programmes of formal education, the Academy offers lifelong learning programmes in order to meet the demands of the contemporary education, labour market and capital. The aim of these programmes is the acquisition of new and the improvement of the already acquired knowledge, skills and competences related to the professional, social or personal development. The excellence of our programmes is guaranteed by quality assurance, long-standing interest and large attendance as well as the commitment and dedication of our teachers and administrative staff. The programmes of lifelong learning of the Academy have been organised as a response to the lack of scientific/artistic/educational content in the city of Osijek. These programmes enable the acquisition of new and the improvement of the already acquired knowledge, skills and competences, but they also confront the prejudice that works of art are the result of talent alone since they also require the mastery of various techniques and technology as well as the efficient organisation of the work process. The skills related to different scientific and artistic fields can be acquired and improved by well-designed programmes. That is why the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek is the most qualified institution in the region to carry out such programmes of lifelong learning.
