Upon completion of this intensive programme students will acquire the basic knowledge and skills of acting and puppetry.
They are aware of the level of their pitch and rhythm. Using different exercises and tasks, they develop their rhythmical and motoric skills which they learn to use when doing acting and puppetry assignments. Also, they acquire the basic knowledge about the drama and puppetry theatre and animation, what these words mean, how to animate an object as well as how to pick a certain object and what its characteristics are and mean. They become aware of the inanimate world around them which their imagination learns to bring to life. They start to perceive objects in a new way which develops their imagination. They are capable of selecting an object with the right characteristics and express themselves by means of a simple etude.
Upon completion of the programme they will be able to pick a simple acting text (monologue, poetry) and know how to realise it. They will know the basics of acting; get an insight into drama literature and professional literature about the art of acting and theatre. They will understand the basic principles of puppet animation and will learn many ways of using different objects in their etudes. They will have the basic knowledge and skills that are needed for the independent creation of simple puppetry etudes and they will understand the basic rules of the puppet theatre.
