/ Student Practice

The Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek organises different forms of professional student practice which are carried out according to the specific nature of each study programme. Taking into consideration the demands of the labour market, the interests of students and the main role of higher education regarding the transfer of a wide range of theoretical knowledge, the Academy has developed a balanced system of professional practice which connects and supplements the theoretical and art courses in order to achieve the final learning outcomes of study programmes.

The Academy organises the following forms of professional practice:

  1. a) practice which implies the participation of students in the professional projects of the Academy and other partners,
  2. b) practice which provides additional pedagogic-psychological and didactic-methodological competences, the purpose of which is the acquisition of competences required by the teaching profession,
  3. c) practice which focuses on the public presentation of artworks that are the result of art courses or individual student work,
  4. d) practice which includes an indirect participation of students in the events and content of cultural institutions which they analyse and evaluate in their written reports and journals,
  5. e) project practice which organises students of different study programmes in interdisciplinary project teams supervised by teachers (project leaders).

Student practice can be completed in institutions, associations or companies which have signed a cooperation agreement with the Academy and it has to be approved by both the Academy and the chosen institution.
