This programme, just like the other programmes of life-long learning of the Academy of Arts and Culture, is the result of the lack of artistic/educational content in the city of Osijek. This programme is a sequel to the “Applied Ceramics” and “Modelling of Ceramics and Working with a Potter’s Wheel” programmes.
This programme is focused on the improvement of already acquired skills of modelling ceramics and provides its students with a space, technological conditions, artistic/technical support and creative individual and group work as well as the advanced training.
Upon completion of the programme students acquire new and improve the already acquired knowledge and skills in the field of ceramics modelling and they work on their individual artistic expression:
- slab construction
- clay insertion
- hand modelling
- imprint, engraving
- making relief sculptures
- working with the potter’s wheel
- fire objects and biscuit clay
- advanced techniques of the final touch
Upon completion of the programme students will present their work at a one-day exhibition at the premises of the Academy that will be open for the public. This will provide every student with an opportunity to evaluate their ceramics modelling skills (during one academic year), the knowledge of the technological rules of modelling ceramics and an insight into their personal artistic expression.
